Need a tree taken down, trimmed, or cleaned up after a storm? We serve Syracuse and the surrounding towns, and every quote is free.
Most people don’t think about a tree until it’s on the garage.
Then they think about it a lot.
Old trees, lake weather, and a bug that won’t quit
Around here the trees are old. A lot of Syracuse neighborhoods were planted when Truman was in office, and those maples never got the memo to stop growing. The weather doesn’t help. Wind comes across Onondaga Lake, snow piles up on limbs that weren’t built for it, and ice storms do what ice storms do.
Then there’s the emerald ash borer. It’s been chewing through ash trees across Central New York for years. A dead ash doesn’t fall over politely. It goes brittle, drops limbs on whatever’s underneath, and gets more dangerous to cut the longer it stands. Tree crews will tell you straight: dead ash is a job you want done sooner, not later.
Here’s how this works
Syracuse Tree Pros. One call, one quote, one bill.
You call and tell us what you’ve got. Where the tree is, how big, what it’s near. We come take a look and give you a free quote. If you like the number, we schedule the crew and handle the job. If you don’t, you say no thanks.
What the crews do
- Tree removal: the whole tree, including the tight ones wedged between the house and the neighbor’s fence.
- Trimming and pruning: limbs over the roof, dead wood, branches scraping the siding every time the wind picks up.
- Stump grinding: so you can quit mowing around it.
- Emergency and storm damage: tree on the house, tree across the driveway, tree on the car you just paid off.
Tree on the house right now?
Call anyway. Storm calls get handled first.
If anything is touching a power line, stay away from it and call National Grid at 1-800-465-1212 before you call anybody else. Tree crews don’t argue with live wires. You shouldn’t either.

Questions people ask
Are you the ones who cut the tree?
Our crews do the cutting. You hire Syracuse Tree Pros. We quote the job, schedule the crew and handle the work. One call, one quote, one bill.
What does the quote cost me?
Nothing. The quote is free. You only pay if you hire us, and you pay Syracuse Tree Pros.
How fast can somebody come look at it?
Depends on the season and the crew’s schedule. Storm and hazard calls go first. Routine removals and trimming get scheduled like any other appointment.
Do I need a permit to take down a tree in Syracuse?
Trees on your own property usually don’t need one. Trees in the city right-of-way, like the strip between the sidewalk and the street, need a permit from the City’s Forestry Division. When in doubt, ask the crew or call Forestry at 315-551-7645.
Are the crews insured?
Good question to ask any tree outfit, us included. Ask for a certificate of insurance before work starts.
